Evaluating @verbageddon’s Buck Owens acoustic, and it DEFINITELY needs a neck reset. But we knew that already, honestly. The neck, however, already moves freely on its own, so I think if I heat up just the end of the fretboard, the whole thing will pop right off without steam. That means the reset would be super quick and there would be much less chance of damaging the finish as well as not having to wait for wood to dry out before proceeding. We’ll likely replace the bridge as well, but I’ll probably farm that out to Ben, our luthier in chief since I moved to LA.
